Becoming Debt Free in 2009

Debt Free and Saying Goodbye

Filed under: Journey to Debt Freedom — ambercouric @ 9:06 am

First, I would like to say thanks to all of you who have encouraged me during this Debtfree journey.  When I first started back in October it seemed almost impossible to tackle all the debt.  With the encouragement and input from all of you my Debtfree journey took only half the time I expected it to take.  I couldn’t have done it without you.

Now that I am debt free I don’t feel that I have anything to say on a continuous basis.  My life is changing.  FAST.  I have exactly 82 days before both of my boys will be away at school.  They will both be at least 8 hours away.  I’ve decided to spend the summer hanging out with them – I’m sure they are thrilled (LOL).

So this will be my last post on this blog.  Once the boys have gone off to school I promised Kennedy that I would start a blog to keep him updated on what’s going on with me.  I think he really just wants to know I’m not going crazy without him.

Thanks again for reading.

PS – I’m not completely gone.  I’m still going to visit your blogs and stay in touch.

  1. Congratulations on reaching your goal of becoming debt free and good luck with wherever life’s journey takes you! 🙂

  16. I had hoped to be debt free by the end of this year, with the car being paid off this month. However, that didn’t/isn’t happening. I started dating and now this weekend am proposing to the most wonderful woman I ever met. Still I will get my old debts paid off early next year and my soon to be fiance and I can work towards getting her debts paid off as quickly as possible to. I am so looking forward to that.

As we go it is great every time I see someone else reach their goals of debt freedom.

  17. Credit card debt elimination through debt settlement can be a very attractive alternative for debt relief.

  18. Great to see you got out of debt. One thing i noticed when I got out of debt was the amount of space I felt around me. Also i seemed to have more attention and felt less restricted.

    It is well worth while!

  20. I have visited your blog ( today and it was a wonderful experience ! I am also the webmaster of some quality finance (debt/mortgage/credit/loan/insurance etc.) sites and blogs also. The wonderful presentation of your blog have become my point of attraction. I think it would be a mutually beneficial decision for both of us to exchange some links or articles. It can help both of us to increase the number of visitors to our sites and a top ranking in google search. The ROI of our sites will also increase. If you permit me, I’ll happily agree for a guest post in your blog. Any new idea other than these? Please feel free to contact me.

    Waiting for your positive reply.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Maria Smith

  22. This is a really interesting I enjoy reading the article very much. Looking back in my college days I use to charge up my credit card like I have unlimited income, and I always pay the minimum balance the most scary part is the interest rate from those cards! Now, I am a working professional and yet to be debt free. I hope I can be on the track as you soon!
