About this cash only thing

I’m spending less money.  I looked at the check register this morning and there is about $200 more in there than normal at this time of the month.

So even with the many extra expenses this month it seems that we spent less than normal.

  1. Great news! Why didn’t we think of this (cash only) before?

  2. Yay! That’s awesome, I never would have realized what a difference it can make.

  3. It’s really harder to hand over money when you’re handing over greenbacks, isn’t it?

  7. That’s great…I keep trying with the cash only method. I’ve nearly lasted all January, however failed miserably during December. it’s good to see it’s working so well for you 🙂

  11. You’ve definitely confirmed the studies that show that cash-only lifestyle reduces spending. Awesome job!

  12. I am trying this too…all the way and it truly works! Cash has saved us and writing every penny spent down until we can figure out a budget has really saved a lot as well. I mean every penny even for a .60 cola. It is helping me to see how many of what we are buying and where we can cut back…our frugality started right after Christmas and I feel free already buy paying close attention and having a game plan.
