For All Who Think…

my children are always angels – I beg to differ.

Kennedy is the biggest GRUMP today.  Maybe it is just a teenager thing but it drives me crazy.  He only gets this “attitude” once in a while but I just can’t stand it.  I think he is a little stressed because of all the tests assigned before Thanksgiving break.

I would run to McDonalds and get him a couple of Honey Mustard Chicken Wraps but that would be rewarding bad behavior.  Right?

  1. maybe not — he is old enough to understand… maybe it would just be you saying “I know you are stressed – I am here for you if you need anything — I love you & I am proud of you”

now – I am not a child psychologist… but maybe it would send the right message?

  2. JpKittie – you are right. I thought about it for a few minutes after I wrote this and then hopped in the car and bought him the Chicken Wraps. After he finished his homework we sat and watched Survivor together – he is much more relaxed now.

  3. Aw, so cute. If my mom ever did anything like that for me when I was a teenager, I would have been so touched. Being a teenager is hard. It’s nice when someone cuts you some slack and just accepts you for who you are, grumpy at all. Especially if it’s your mom.
