Bills Paid, Food Bought, Christmas Shopping Started

I was able to pay $1,096 on the car.  I was hoping to be able to pay $900 but was able to pay more since I had $397 left in my account from the miscellaneous funds.  The car is below $9,000 now.

I went grocery shopping this morning stopping by Aldi first.  I spent $41 in Aldi but was afraid to buy to much because I’m not sure my family would like the off brands.  I figured I would try just a few things at a time and build from there.  Then I went to Harris Teeter which is my favorite store.  I bought meats from there.  Overall, if I only have to buy milk and bread for the rest of the month I should come in around $450 for the month including all the extra for Thanksgiving.

I started Christmas shopping also.  I have 4 gift-cards left to purchase and three other gifts for my sons and I’ll be finished.  I should come in at least $300 under budget for Christmas.

  2. Yahoo!! Congrats – that’s great news 🙂

I have to start my Christmas shopping soon…not really looking forward to it, but it won’t take long as I only have a few gifts to buy, and I can get gift cards for about 4 of those.

  3. Congrats, you’ll get that car paid off in no time. I like Harris Teeters, they have them in Virginia where my dad lives. They have great store brand products, way better than other stores generics.

  6. “Under Budget” love the ring to that comment! Great job on your Christmas shopping and completion. And great job on the car! Mine just fell below $11K. That was nice to see. 🙂
